Home on the Range

Present for Grandma, dried Horsey "POOP." Jacob's word.

We went to see Joel and his dad's horses on Sunday night after having supper at Warky's in Morden. Together they own about 40 horses. Most of them are in a pasture close to Morden. We also picked up a bunch of ticks while we were there. I DO NOT LIKE THOSE THINGS!!!

Can we be friends?
I love the little guys. They are so curious and cute.

Lovely Flowers

I love the lilies that are blooming in my garden right now. I usually take pictures of them so that I can enjoy them for longer than the few weeks that they bloom.

Don't be scared!!!

My DS went four-wheeling last week after a heavy rain. He and his friend came back looking like this!!!! After, I learned that they had actually rolled in the mud to make it look like this. But they did get good and stuck! I took one picture of him like this without the flash. It is not a clear picture and it looks REALLY freaky. I don't even want to post it.

What a beautiful day!

The sun is shining and it is quite warm already. We have had such beautiful weather lately. The forecast is for thundershowers later tonight, so I need to get my doors painted. I also have to finich mudding the entrance. Wow, has that been quite the job. I wish I could do a better job of it. I will have a lot of sanding to do before I paint. I probably used twice as much mud as I would have needed to.

Lots of things to do, so I need to get to work!

July 7, 2008

I am not the greatest at posting on my blog. Wow, its been months since I last updated this. It has been quite busy with CTMH parties, the regular housework, gardening and then going camping the July long weekend.

My nephew sprayed our lawn for dandelions in spring. Almost all of our grass died, so this past weekend, he tilled almost our whole yard, packed it and reseeded it with grass. This last night we got a beautiful rain, probably close to an inch, so that will help with getting the grass growing. It will be nice to have a green yard again.

I am doing a bit of sewing for my nieces today. My mom wanted me to sew a nice dress for my youngest niece that she could give for a baby gift. (She is already almost two years old by now!!!) So I decided that I would make a dress for the older niece as well. The dresses are the same, except for the color. Once I have them done, I'll try and let you see them.
